Cook Again Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 18, 2026

Cook Again is a private family meal memory app coming soon for iPhone. It helps you save meals that worked, generate recipe notes from a meal photo when you choose to, and get recommendations from meals already saved on your device.

Launch Waitlist

If you join the Cook Again launch list, the website stores your email address so I can send one email when Cook Again launches. Waitlist emails are not used for third-party advertising or sold. You can request deletion by emailing jose.alberto.soler+cookagain@gmail.com.

Data Stored On Your Device

Cook Again stores saved meal cards, recipe notes, and meal photos locally on your device. Photos shared from other apps may be temporarily written to the Cook Again app group container so the main app can import them. After import, the temporary shared copy is deleted.

Recipe Generation

When you ask Cook Again to generate a recipe from a photo, the app sends the photo, optional notes, household preferences you entered, language or locale information, and an anonymous device identifier to the Cook Again analysis service. The service sends the photo and related text to an AI provider so it can return structured recipe details.

The Cook Again service is designed not to store meal photos, saved meal cards, or full AI responses on the server. Operational logs may include request duration, status code, approximate upload size, and a hashed device identifier. They do not include raw photo bytes or full AI responses.

Subscriptions

When subscriptions are available, Cook Again may use Apple in-app purchases and RevenueCat to manage them. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase history, subscription status, and an anonymous app user identifier so Cook Again can unlock paid recipe generation. Saved recipes and recommendations remain available without a subscription.

Product Analytics

Cook Again may use PostHog product analytics to understand feature usage, improve reliability, and make the app easier to use. Analytics may include product interaction events, subscription-related events, app version, device or operating-system information, and an anonymous device or install identifier.

Cook Again does not use analytics for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Product analytics are not intended to include meal photos, saved recipe text, household details, private notes, or ingredients. If Cook Again later adds session replay, crash reporting, or log capture, this policy will be updated before those features are used.

Third-Party Services

Cook Again may use these service providers to operate the app:

  • Apple, for App Store distribution and in-app purchases.
  • RevenueCat, for subscription entitlement management.
  • OpenAI, for recipe generation from photos and notes you choose to submit.
  • PostHog, for product analytics.

Security And Abuse Prevention

The analysis service uses an app token, anonymous device identifier, and rate limiting to reduce abuse. The app token is not a personal account system and should not be treated as a secret user password.

Children

Cook Again is not directed to children under 13.
